Free Language Class

On March 23rd at Country Hills Library in Kitchener (1500 Block Line Rd, Kitchener) we are happy to offer the community to join our free Korean, Cantonese, and Mandarin classes for adults and children!

Each class is 1 hour in length and we ask you get to the classroom (located at the back of the library) 5 to 10 minutes before the beginning of the class to complete registration.  We welcome community members to register for more than one class. We reserve the right to cancel registrations should we exceed the classroom capacity.

Lots of time and effort are being put into this event, we kindly ask for a suggested donation of $10 to Tiny Home Takeout, a local charity whose mission is to provide the same quality food that is available to the wealthy to people who are struggling or unsheltered. You can donate online on this page or make a cash donation on the day of the class. 100% donations (minus credit card fees for online donations) will be given to Tiny Home Takeout.

What Our Students Say

"My daughter has no background whatsoever in Mandarin but is thriving in this program. The combination of current learning techniques and age appropriate engagement has made learning a new language super rewarding. I highly recommend this program to anyone remotely interested. You will not regret it!"
"First Step Mandarin is amazing. My daughter looks forward to her weekly lesson. The instructor is organized, prepared and prompt. His friendly and warm demeanour, along with his engaging lessons has created an exciting learning environment for our daughter. Thank you for all of your hard work."
"Beginner Chinese was so fun! Teacher Anne was always funny and kept the class energetic. Nice to make new friends too!"
"My Mandarin classes with Lucy Zhan were extremely helpful & a wonderful introduction to the language! I would highly recommend this class to someone who may need extra one on one help or may not be able to attend the regular classes. She went out of her way to accommodate me by coming to Hespeler and made the difficult introduction to a new language extremely interesting. Thanks again"
