Minji Kim
Korean Language Director
Minji grew up in South Korea and moved to Canada in high school. She jumped head first to quickly improve her English in preparation for university. At the University of Waterloo, Minji was the President of the University of Waterloo’s Culture and Language Exchange Club. Since starting university, Minji has taken her passion for language learning and has tackled learning Mandarin and Spanish while also dabbling in French and Japanese. Minji is excited to bring her wealth of experience in languages to help First Step Language Academy design a Korean language program that aims to share and deepen Korean culture and understanding across South-Western Ontario.
Eunbin Choe
Korean Instructor
Eunbin spent her childhood in Korea and then started middle school in Canada. She moved around the country, gaining diverse Canadian experiences. However, she never lost her connection to Korea through her love for K-entertainment and culture. Having gained so much from the best of both worlds, Eunbin hopes to share these experiences with others. She enjoys finding patterns and interesting facts and will share these insights in class. From a young age, she found joy in helping others understand concepts using her knowledge and various methods, and she is ready to adapt to each student’s learning style.
Victoria Sangmi Lee

Victoria Sangmi Lee brings a deep understanding of Korean culture to every lesson. Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Piano from Ewha Womans University in Korea and a Master’s in Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada.
